Boost Pre-paid Orders (“the app”) is provided by Burraq Developments (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data the app accesses when a merchant installs it on their Shopify store, and how that data is used.
The app requests the following Shopify access scopes, used only for the purposes below:
read_delivery_customizations, write_delivery_customizations — to create and manage the shipping-rate-hiding rule configured by the merchant.read_payment_customizations, write_payment_customizations — to create and manage the payment-method-hiding rule configured by the merchant.read_discounts, write_discounts — to create and manage the automatic prepaid discount configured by the merchant.read_content, write_content — used by the app’s settings storage. The app’s storefront widget writes a single cart attribute recording a shopper’s prepaid-vs-COD choice for that cart. This attribute is stored entirely within Shopify’s own cart and order records and is never copied to, or stored by, any server we operate. We run no database, and the app has no backend that persists customer data.
We do not collect, store, or process any personal information (names, addresses, emails, phone numbers, or payment details) outside of Shopify’s own systems. We do not sell or share merchant or customer data with third parties.
As required for all publicly listed Shopify apps, we subscribe to Shopify’s three mandatory compliance webhooks: customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. Because the app stores no customer data of its own, these webhooks are acknowledged automatically after verifying the request genuinely came from Shopify (HMAC signature check) — there is no separate customer data on our side to export or delete.
We retain no merchant or customer data after an app is uninstalled, because we never stored any to begin with. Configuration set on the app’s Settings pages is stored using Shopify’s own metafield/content storage on the merchant’s shop, and is removed by Shopify’s standard app-uninstall data cleanup.
We may update this policy as the app’s features change. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated “Last updated” date.
